  • Welcome to my blog!

A couple years ago I was having a really hard time at my day engineering job. I had the day off and was sitting in the sun on a park bench in White Bear Lake reading Damien Lovegrove's excellent book "The Complete Guide to Professional Wedding Photography" and sought to myself: “If I didn’t have to worry about paying the bills, or making a profit, what is it I would do?”

The answer is I would do something radically different than my day engineering job. I would use a mac (Yeah!), I would wear a suit, and shoot beautiful women wearing beautiful dresses in beautiful surroundings! I guess that means I would be a wedding photographer :-)

So this blog is visual account of my journey pursing this dream. I am constantly learning and perfecting my skills and technique. It’s a long road. I hope you like what you see.

    Thank you for watching,

Fall Kitesurfing on White Bear Lake

I was driving along side White Bear Lake on this very breezy and chilly yet nice fall Saturday afternoon when I noticed a bunch of Kitesurfer’s vividly colored kites flying in the sky. I quickly pulled over into White Bear Beach Park where they were setup. I created this image from this impromptu photo-shoot. I hope you like it,

Fall Leaves Minnesota

I captured these images in my neighborhood. The colors are just stunning. It is amazing the nice things that are available to contemplate that can sometimes be easily overlooked.
